RENESENG IS HOLDING THE 2ND PROJECT WORKSHOP

ON 27 MAY –31 MAY & 2 JUNE 2015

AT THE DTU CAMPUS IN COPENHAGEN, DENMARK

Biorefinery modelling: state-of-the-art tools in flowsheeting, property modelling, synthesis and optimization
Training and hands-on sessions to use and to integrate modelling environments

The Workshop aims at transfusing into the study of Biorefineries those Process Systems Engineering tools, which have already been successful in the traditional chemical and petrochemical industry.

Participants will benefit from a packed programme and an impressive range of activities: industrial visits, visits to local BRISK facilities, introductory lectures by seasoned professionals on PSE tools, authoritative high-level lectures on PSE and Biorefineries, all framed by the Hans Christian Andersen magic of Copenhagen and ample time for networking.

Proceedings fuse into the ensuing PSE2015 / ESCAPE25 conference, where the RENESENG Project will hold a special technical session in the morning of Monday 1st June and will be accessible in its dedicated exhibition booth throughout the conference. Specific to RENESENG members are the Project Meeting on Saturday 30th May for partners only and the Researchers’ Roundtable for project ER/ESRs only in the afternoon of Thursday 28th and Friday 29th May.

The Workshop is open to non-RENESENG researchers and interested parties at a nominal fee, to cover participation, material to be distributed, meals, transportation to/from industrial visits.Accommodation, travel to/from Kopenhagen and participation to the PSE2015 / ESCAPE25 conference will not be covered.

The full workshop offers 34 hours of study and counts as one (1) ECTS credit.

Proceedings of the Workshop will be webcast.Technical details to ensue.

Registration for physical participation can be made online here at a rate of 250 euros, by 18th of May. Attendees are advised to bring their laptop with them.

Registration for webcast participation can be made here at a reduced rate of 75 euros, by 25th of May.

Payment needs to have been cleared to the organisers’ bank account by 25th of May.

How to get there & Accommodation Tips


DTU Lyngby Campus


Workshop sessions of Days 1 to 5 will take place in Room 221, Building 227, DTU Campus. Researchers’ Round Table sessions in Room 239, Building 227. Sessions of Day 6 will take place at the PSE/ESCAPE venue, Bella Center, Center Boulevard 5, DK-2300 Copenhagen S. Light lunch (sandwich and a drink) will be provided by the DTU Catering Service. Dinner will be arranged in town for workshop attendants. Industrial visits will be escorted by Ms Kosmidou.
